
Dr. Felix Kizito, is Ugandan, a medical doctor by profession, passionate about maternal and child health. He also has keen interest in the public health approaches in the reduction of disease burden among women and children.
Felix has passion in writing scientific papers and more so writing that disseminates information which is meant to prolong one’s life.
Studied at prestigious Makerere University College of Health Sciences, with MBChB, also MPH candidate at the same University, School of public health.
Worked as medical officer in various hospital setting within Uganda to mention but a few, Ruth Gaylord Hospital, SAS Clinic, and Evalina Children’s clinic.
Worked as Team Leader Medical services International Medical Link (U) Ltd Insurance Company,
In the research field, Felix has worked with Makerere University, College of health sciences on informed health care choices Project, study which was done in central Uganda
Currently working with COMENTH PROJECT (Community in which Mother and New-born Thrive) –MAKSPH in Luuka district, Eastern Uganda under Mak Centre of Excellence for Maternal New born & Child Health .A project spearheaded by one of finest and generous Professors, Prof. Peter Waiswa ,known researcher and lecturer at MAKSPH and Karolinska institute, Sweden.As medical officer, Felix provides emergency obstetric care to mothers and New-born so as to ensure safe delivery and livelihood after. Also involved in co-ordination of different project activities within the the district.The world becomes a better place every time a maternal and new born death is prevented and this brings a smile on his face whenever he gets a scalpel into his hands to save a mother and her unborn child.
